Restoration or no

Question for the restoration specialists.
I got this pickelhelm today. Is it even possible to repair it? Or is the effort too high? I won't do anything myself. Or is it better to gut them and sell the individual parts

If the helmet is made of leather then repair is possible,but it will take some time.

I'm certainly no expert on restoration but after what I've seen members here do I'd bet they would have it looking brand new, it just may take a bit.

Really a big fan of what I've seen done here.

I also have seen members bringing back helmets in a far more state brought back to life here on the forum.
Especially the latest project from Wojtek was the perfect example of a helmet most people wouldn't touch, but was brought back looking great again.

I think it's more likely to be sold in this condition or in parts

The good thing is the leather is dented not torn.
With a little time moister and head form these dents can be taken out.
The liner looks to be in great shape it would be a shame to part the helmet out

Hello,
this helmet is complete and in good condition (apart from the dents). You should definitely keep it that way. Above all, don't dismantle it and scatter the trim around in spare parts.
2 solutions:
---Or keep it like this.
---Restore it or have it restored. A cobbler, or a good handyman like Wodjek, will be able to restore it to its original shape quite easily.
