A selection of new/old stock original kokarden and M15 Ulan Jaeger wappen. The story we were told was that these were "liberated" from a warehouse by an American Lt in 1918. James and I each bought an Ulan. James also purchased some of the Prussian kokarden.

Next, a private purchase Bavarian from JR 9.

The clothing tag indicates the haube belonged to a OYV (EF) Kaebel 2K,9 IR. The helme now belongs to one of our members, so any information on Kaebel would be appreciated

Uncharacteristically, Gus chose to remove his usual Stetson cowboy hat and don a knitted M15! :D
He is proudly holding his newly purchased MP18!
IMG_1043.JPG
Gus found a friend who was also wearing his own knitted M95. James has a Bavarian M95 but refused to wear it. :(

Thanks for asking Randy about the Baden M15 Amy!
Now I've got a dilemma..been offered a War Bond helmet Baden M15 by a forummember too.
I will get pictures of it soon, so now I have a choice of 2 Baden M15's.
It won't take long, before I am back at the same level of collection when I had to sell it all some time ago.
In just 3 months time I got more than I expected. \:D/

Thanks for sharing the pictures Brian!
I really should be visiting the SOS next year.. :)

Have a nice sunday, and a good trip back home.

Greetings, Coert. :thumb up:

It was great seeing everyone, and my apologies for those I did not see. I was so busy this year that there were literally a dozen people I wanted to see that I never did!

I had a great show. I really only made one purchase (actually not true but only one that counted).MG08.jpg

Hi Arran,

It might be Sonny from NYC area, I think. I'm not 100% certain, maybe someone can confirm?

Best Regards,

Alan

2nd year in a row that I didn't walk the entire show. :( I missed seeing the seller with the horde of Prussian e.m. kokardes and the front plates that Brian and James bought from. I also dragged the camera along again, and didn't take a single photo with it this year either.

Stayed at the table most of the time selling stuff instead, and had some good sales. :)

One time when I did walk around for a couple hours, I got lucky and found an M15 Hessian enlisted helmet with "R.B.A. 18" markings inside for a very reasonable price. It had just been put out for sale a few moments before I came to the table. I'll post photos of it in the next few days.

You are being modest Alan :) James and I as you know, arrived a couple of minutes later, we feel you got the best deal at the SOS for that M15 Hessen!
