We spent quite a lot of time in the hobby room this year before the show, as I am really ramping up on building my knowledge base. Had some really great conversations with James and Brian too about pickelhauben. I have tons of books and photos, but nothing like holding a helm in your hand.

Good to see you in the photo. I go a long way back.
I have known the Sanders family for years .I knew your grandfather, Paul.
Quite a man and a gentleman. He started your father and the other 2 brothers
into I G collecting .He sure did do a good job of it !
By the way , the 1 Garde Dragoon NCO outfit that you bought from Mike Kelso
was mine at one time .Mike got it from me .That's a nice outfit that you bought.

Was it really, very cool. Here is a picture of it back at my place now. It was another one of my favorite SOS pickups, the helmet was one of Bob Palko's.
