of a Kaiser prize .However the bust is of Wilhelm I

Jens ;
Thank you for your comments .
I am not sure how many collectors would know what it was .
here is a photo that was sent to me by a fellow collector
I am working a deal on the artillery probe example
but I missed the Wurttemberg example
It was already sold .

😍 ... wow - absolutely fantastic - the Offizier-Chefschnur for two won shooting-contest! (only the hessian Inf.-Rgt. Nr.116 won this twice*).
I think it's the short Chefschnur for the Leutnant der Kompanie, the Hauptmann and Kompanieführer Chefschnur was longer - right!?
But thank you for showing this really rare stuff!!!! Best regards, Jens

* the 1. Kompanie Ghz. Hess. Inf.-Rgt. Nr.116 won 1908 and 1909 the Kaiserschiesspreis (with Hauptmann Stephan).

p.s.: and I never seen a Württemberger-Wappenschild for the Schützenschnur (from 5.-10. Stufe),
often the Würtemberger worn the prussian Wappenschild.

Best regards, from Germany!

Steve, I can hardly believe what I see! 😍 A Ringkragen der Fahnenträger from the Königs-Inf.-Rgt. Nr. 145! (one from only four)!!! Great!

And yes - it's my Waffenrock! (but the tunic was without the Chefschnur)!

The Schützenschnüre with the extra Eichel for the Schiessschule & Gewehrprüfungskomission are also great!

Thank you for showing this great and rare stuff! Best regards, Jens

Steve, very nice - good buy!
Both Königsabzeichen must be from the Kgl. Sächs. 1. Jäger-Bataillon (2. Kompanie for 1898 & 1. Kompanie for 1903)
Thanks and best regards, Jens

Nice to see this thread generating some interesting discussion.

Also interesting to see the different die variations on the Jager Prizes. In Steve's two King's examples above, one has only one tine of the antler connected, and the other has all three antler tines connected to the crown.

My 1897 Kaiser's has two tines connected and my 1907 Kaiser's has only one tine connected.

Steve:

See the attachment below.

It seems there were variations in the busts that were presented. It may be that there were different busts awarded based on the winning regiment's association with other notables besides the Kaiser.

Very nice
What reference is that page from ?
Steve
... I think it's from this page I build up some years ago: http://wiki-de.genealogy.net/Kaiserpreis_(Schiesswettbewerb_von_1895_bis_1913)
The wining Kompanie/Rgt. received a bust (called Kaiserpreis) for the dining room. When the regiment won the competition again,
they got a new bust, but with a different emperor's head.

Steve, again great lanyards - all kinds of the Saxon Wappenschild! And the first time I see a Württemberger-Wappenschild in real! Great! (y)
Thank you and best regards, Jens

Jens ;
Great information and photo .
Is that Kaiser Prize bust yours ?
The hard to find shields and cords ;
Two or three years ago a Polish dealer came to our S O S Military show
The first year that he was there he was selling a great collection of enlisted
pre war shoulder straps .
The next year it was officers pre war shoulder straps and the shooting cords
I also collect shoulder straps so as I spent time seated at his table
looking over the straps , he told me that all of this was from the collection
of his uncle who had put the collection together about 50 years ago
and this was the first time it had been seen .
