The Kaiser’s Prize (Kaiserschiessabzeichen)

This guy really treasured his Kaiserabzeichen!
That is a killer !
I have not seen the Kaiser Prize added
I really like that
Great item in your collection
I know that the shoulder strap is a smaller size
than the regular strap
but what about the Kaiser Prize is it full size ?
Steve

This is a great thread! Lots of great items and information!

Thought I would share a Kaiserliche Marine tunic I picked up last weekend with a Kaiserabzeichen originally sewn on. From what I read here and some other German references, I think it is a Marine issue Kaiserabzeichen.
Very nice Marine Tunic
The only way that I know of to tell the difference between an Artillery
Kaiser Prize and a Naval one that I know of is to see the back of the prize
No way do you want to do that
We just know that it must be original to the tunic
Thanks for the photos and the post
Steve

A "Paul Meybauer, Berlin" marked example. If we can assume such based on only the backplate being marked. Unlike the "C.E. Juncker" marked examples.
Willi:

Thanks for posting this. To this point, I've only seen C.E. Juncker marked Prizes. There were obviously several manufacturers based on varying die differences.. Nice to be able to add another name to the "known" makers list.

Steve, both the strap and Kaiserabzeichen (in plastic) are about 2/3rds size.

I would not have guessed plastic
I guess the vendor who made up the memory of his service
had these on hand
I have a collection of the "mini straps "
but I had never seen a mini K P
Thanks

I love this thread. Every piece is stunning. Here is a German article with states that III Matrosen Artillerie Abteilung won the 1914 award.View attachment 20650.
Tony ;
Do you or any members know the number of men in the
III Matrosen Artillerie Abteilung in 1914 ?
I have two of the 1914 Kaiser Prizes for Naval Artillerie
I am trying to figure out how many were issued ?
Thanks
Steve

Picked up another Kaiserliche Marine uniform with a KM pattern artillery Kaiserabzeichen. This one also has the larger wool oval found on the KM variant. Nice "C.E.Juncker" marked piece.
