I R 99 / 10 Kp won the Kaiser Prize in 1902
then again in 1906 1907 & 1908
I have the 4 date Kaiser prize that they won
1908 was the last year that they won the prize
so when I had the chance to acquire the shield
presented to Hauptmann Werner in 1908 by Kaiser Wilhelm II
I went ahead with the deal
It is the same shield that was shown in an article on Kaiser Prizes
in the Orden-Militaria Magazin 7 /82

That is quite a collecting coup! This is about as good as it gets in terms of Kaiserprize collecting.

The only thing that could top this is one of the busts awarded to the regiment for display in the mess.

Kaiser Prize on a Feldgrau uniform.
Not often seen.
I need help on this one .
Someone had put an I D on the back of this card
of the regiment 3rd Baden I R Nr. 111
Maybe they were looking the shoulder strap cypher ?
I can't see it to I D it
Anyway, I don't think the soldier in the middle is in the Baden I R 111
The only Kaiser Prize won by I R 111 was in 1895
so it would not be worn on a Feldgrau uniform
Are these soldiers from a Baden regiment ?
The middleman has a band on his dress hat
Could the photo be of brothers or friends from different regiments ?
Possible Baden regiments that won the Kaiser Prize that could be worn on a Feldgrau uniform
L G R 109 =1909
I R 110 =1911
I R 112 =1910
I R 113 = 1912
I R 142 1907

6. April 1912 Potsdam
Three soldiers of the 1 Garde Regt zu Fuss / 6 Kp
wearing their 1911 Kaiser Prizes
This is the year before the famous scandal of the shooting for the 1912 Kaiser Prize
The 1.G R zu Fuss had been declared the winner for 1912 , however it was found out
that the 6 Kp had cheated .They all had hid 50 extra rounds of ammo in their boots
They were going for 2 years in a row as winners 1911 -1912
The 1912 Kaiser Prize was taken away from them and was awarded to the 2nd place unit
the KEGGR # 3 / 4 Kp
I have in my collection a Waffenrock of KEGGR # 3 / 4 Kp with the Kasier Prize

No help on the back of this photo except that it was mailed in 1904.
2 soldiers show their Kaiser Prizes
The Waffenrocks look to be either Garde Grenadiers or Grenadiers
using 1904 to go by , I list the possible
G R 7 / 11 Kp 1904
G R 3 / 10 Kp 1903
Garde Grenadier Regt 2 / 3 Kp 1904
any thoughts about this photo ?

The shoulder straps look dark
so that could rule out G R 3 which is white
