Here is a gem. An untouched Model 1891 Württemberg Infantry issued Pickelhaube.
And if that's not enough, it has very unique M91 mounts on the chinstrap, and a very interesting issue stamp,. The stamp appears to be I.B. or J.B.
I.B. being Kommando der Infanterie-Brigade. However, the rear visor stamp to me, appears to be J.B.
As the German J is interchangeable with the letter I for Infanteire, why would they mark a Pickelhaube Infantry Battalion?
If so, no Regiment number, no Battalion number? Odd. :scratch:
Again though, as the German J is interchangeable with the letter I for Infanterie, could this marking mean Kommando der Infanterie-Brigade?
Best feature of this great little helmet though, are the machined chinscale mounts. Never have I seen this before.
