Sorry to bring an old topic back to life but I was just looking through the new auction catalog for the upcoming Herman Historica auction.
It looks like the pelzmütze in this thread has been restored an is now listed as lot 5227 in the upcoming auction (link: http://www.hermann-historica.de/auktion68/ebook/M/index.html#/551/zoomed" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false
The kolpak and vaterlandsbandeau has been replaced and the chinscales cleaned/replaced. But I knew I had seen that name before. The description in the catalog dosen´t mention replaced parts. Should I contact the auction house and let them know?
