Now there was me thinking that you would go for this Tony; looks like an ultra rare dog-handler unit piece. 1st Badische Wiener Garde Regt for sure. :?

I was looking at this 1887 helmet:
- markings are stamped "109" and "1888" = OK
- visor = OK
- Wappen plate = OK
- chinstrap = OK
- rear spine: too short, maybe changed?
- shell = ????
I got this picture from the seller:
Do you see these 2 verticals holes , placed in the front of the shell?
It looks like a 1895 shell (with its 2 holes for rear spine) re-issued....????
What do you think about?
