Eisenbahn Regiment 3 stein

Post by reservist1 » Thu Oct 19, 2006 9:37 am

This earthenware stein belonged to Reservist Kurzinski who served in the 3rd company Eisenbahn Regiment #3 at Hanau from 1911 - 1912. He also served in the 1st company Eisenbahn Betriebs Abteilung of the Eisenbahn Brigade at Schonberg-Juterbog from 1912 - 1913. The stanhope in the globe under the eagle thumblift has an image of the mid day parade in Berlin.

I can't match the exact unit, as Tony has been doing, but here are some examples that are close.

Guy A. Turner, Master Signal Electrician, Company C, 314.Field Signal Batl., 89th Div. St.Mihiel, Meuse Argonne, Defensive Sector.
1894-1981. My grandfather.
