    Unfortunately not a family piece, just purchased. The photographer is E. Bieber of Berlin & Hamburg. Next to the date is a written word which is hard to read “ Cidrel “ or “Bidrel”, presumably where the portrait was signed.

    Very odd helmet

    Could anybody shed any light on this odd helmet. It is covered in green hessian sacking type material with a wire mesh over the hessian.
