    Baden felt

In my humble opinion i see a red flag. The grifon badge of Baden is mounted too high above the bottom seem. It could be a reassembly.

Tropenhelm für Generäle, M 1904 Deutsches Kaiserreich (1871-1918)

It is a rare helmet and I have been following it at auction and I could have been interested even if the white band was evidently not contemporary (too new), but even knowing its potential, I would never have expected it to reach the figure of 34,000 euros for auction fees.

Prussian infantry helmet M1867 for enlisted men

Tony, you are right. I made a careful inspection. It is no easy to distinguish because ofthe very heavy ancient patina The spike is silver as the rosettes. Only the chinscales appear to be gilt. In my opinion it's all ok

Prussian infantry helmet M1867 for enlisted men

Dear Steve, The helmet is not attributable only to the 1st garde pionier rgt although I consider it very likely. The white metal finishes (it seems yellowish due to the patina of time) and the round base of the nail can accredit it to the following regiments: 1st garde regiment zu fuss - 1-2 btl...

Prussian infantry helmet M1867 for enlisted men

If possible I would like to add to this fantastic topic created by Sandy a M1867 of my collection. This one is a quite rare 1th Garde Pionier Battalion. It cames untouched with all its superb patina that I absolutely did not want to clean or remove. The helmet si complete and in very good...

Prussian infantry helmet M1867 for enlisted men

Congrats Sandy. This model is really rare and very difficult to find. In my opinion I believe it is a model for advanced collectors with a fine palate. This one you show us is in pretty complete and intouched condition and very desirable indeed. Well done my friend.

    Italian Royal Army in WW1

The Italian market is quite strange. Most of the objects travel submerged... The rarest pieces rarely appear in auctions or on ebay. This is a "feluca" from a colonel commander of the royal carabinieri of which I own the complete uniform.

After careful examination of the additional photos I received I can state without any fear of being mistaken that the newspaper page is authentic. Zeb.
