    Model 1853/60, Leib-Kürassier-Regiment Nr. 1, Mannschaft

Great helmet!!!! I have to admit that i like seeing these older helmets, but that i know nothing about them. In the past i've owned some of those older helmets but they were exchanged quickly for some ww1 helmets which fitted my collection. Greetings Pickelhaube

Permit for Belgian soldier in kriegsgefangenenlager Soltau

Here is a little find from a few weeks ago. It's a permit given to a Belgian soldier to go from 1 part of the lager to another part without any armed guard. It might be just a little piece of paper and not in the best condition but i can't imagine there were alot of these given to prisoners of...

Belgian uniform model 1915 11th artillerie regiment

The Belgian stuff has become so rare and sought after, that most pieces just dont come on the market. You barely see uniforms like this on a militaria show. Last tunic i saw for sale on a militaria fair was priced higher then the german ww1 feldrock next to it. Greetings Pickelhaube

Belgian uniform model 1915 11th artillerie regiment

These uniforms are also rare in Belgium and they're very sought after. Luckily for me i own a few tunics are trousers, because now it would be almost impossible to collect these. In the 70's and 80's it was alot different, in those days nobody wanted to collect Belgian militaria. Maybe alot...

Belgian uniform model 1915 11th artillerie regiment

It should have been a shame using these ww1 trousers for riding horse, but i think he tought they were just cheap. When i bought the trousers, he just asked the money back he payed, which was €20. Greetings Pickelhaube

It's indeed satisfying researching the plaques, some can be researched easily but others can take a while. Finding the plaques of my family members will be hard, but i know people who only collect these plaques and they know which plaques i'm looking for. Greetings Pickelhaube

Belgian uniform model 1915 11th artillerie regiment

I got 5 Belgian m1915 tunics, but this is the best one i have. There is absolutely no damage on the tunic and trousers. I bought the tunic some 15 years ago at a market and the seller told me he found 2 uniforms (trousers and tunics) in a locker during a houseclearence. He had sold the other...

Belgian uniform model 1915 11th artillerie regiment

Since i was reorganizing my collection room and i needed a break from that, i tought i would take some pictures of 1 of my Belgian ww1 uniforms. The trousers are dated november 1917 and were made in England. Unfortunately i can't find the label on them. Greetings Pickelhaube

Nice plaque! It's the first unissued one i've seen so far. I've owned hundreds of these, if i find them at decent prices i always buy them so i can research the names when i'm home and i keep the plaques from the soldiers that came from my city or who fought here in august 1914. I really hope...

If the medal is thin and hollow, it's 100% sure it's the plaque that should be on the book. I placed the medal also on a dutch forum. I could be wrong, but i think the soldiers would receive an engraved medal if they bought the book. I got a book somewhere which has the bill inside of it...

It's strange that it isn't named. Maybe your medal is one that was placed inside the bookcover of a "vuurkruiser" book. But sometimes you come across alot of strange things. I have a medal like that with 2 names and nobody can tell me why it has 2 names on it. Greetings Pickelhaube
