Adler's Collection

For me this is a special thing: EM Preussen, made of "papiermaché" and the neckguard is kinda plastic like (vulcan fiber?). The liner is very fragile and thin leather. The front visor is leather. No dates or markings in the helmet...

Amazing the condition that is in after all the years - it being papier-mache after all!

Here's it's 'souzie' or whatever the French expression is:

Private purchase Tschapka 13 Köningsulahnen with Paradehaarbusch, white Rabatten and Fangschnur...

Karel,

It looks good and extremely expensive to me, but I don't have one!. You just have so many! I am still looking up some stuff on one of your older ones. They are all so nice! I think you need to buy a Museum though in order to have enough room. Between you and Tony and broadsword displaying your huge collections is a challenge in itself!

Thank you very much Joe!
But now i'm having questions :D :D :D
What exactly are you looking up (you just made me so curious now...)?
And ... euhhh... Do you know a good location for this museum?...

Your step visor helmet got me to wondering when/if these types were no longer issued. I know they stayed in use and I do not think they had a wear out date, but I wonder if they stopped ordering them when the model changed? Distribution of the issued types after model change is something I'm also trying to find.

I don't know where the museum is you can buy but there are some large houses near mine that you can buy really cheap! :P :P :P

Well Joe, I wish you luck with the search...

The museum in your town... now I understand... we have to move to San Antonio and then you can visit the museum every day at walking distance... :laughing3: :laughing3: :laughing3:

Thats probably the most impressive plate of all the Uhlan regiments. It's no.13 - right? I would kill for an M15 version of this..........

Adler- a very nice kinder helmet, I love and collect these things. Here is a link to a topic I started on them awhile ago.

This is exactly the same UR13 Tschapka model as Adler's. Typical Unteroffizier's. Strictly original and correct throughout. Uncleaned.

And it was also a test, since I have finally taken the time of figuring out how to post pictures on the forum... Thank you much to Joe and the other members who did it for me in the past!
