What a happy man, bored alongside those Totenkopf...
A magnificent trio, all that's missing is the officer's helmet for the complete set.
I only have a Brunswick M1895, marked 92R, RIR40 and RIR78.
It still has its unscrewed tip.
As soon as I received it, I realised that the eagle was ‘Koenig’ and not ‘Fuerst’. For a long time I wanted to exchange this eagle with a ‘Fuerst’, to comply with the regulations.
Until one day a member of a forum sent me the photograph below:
The ‘Koenig’ is not visible or legible, but the 3-fold Vaterland-Band is clearly distinguishable, unlike the ‘Fuerst’( 5 folds : 2 per wing, and Fuerst on the neck)
With its 3 markings, including one or two from mobilisation, this was undoubtedly a JR92 transferred to a Reserve regiment. Not a ‘Garnitur 0’ helmet for parade, but a fine helmet for the front. Since I've got this photo, there's no way I'm touching that eagle! The Koenig eagle behind the TK is now justified as a stopgap measure for the shortage and the urgency of the August 14 mobilisation.

You are 100 % correct
I was able to get one in better condition
otherwise I would have never let it go
Some collectors would rather have the one that you own.
