Landwehr officers shako 1860

The A.K.O. of 20 January 1881 gradually replaced the shako for Landwehr Infantry by the Pickelhaube (if stocks were available). However should a Landwehr officer be attached to a unit that was still equipped with the shako, then that is the mode of dress that he should wear.

Louis Mila's Uniformirungs-Liste des Deutschen Reichs-Heeres und der Kaiserlichen Deutschen Marine, 4th edition of 1881, page 127, attributes the Landwehr officers' shako with vergoldete Schuppenketten if worn.
