Exceptional photo indeed. Note the prussian belt-buckle and the "wrong" fluted spike. Never seen another one with fluted spike on strelitz helmet.

Very interesting. The Saxons did not seem so precisely with the rules, because according to the saxony clothing regulations the spike should measure similar to the prussian one. And I think this would be similar valid also for Mecklenburg.
