Chinscales are supposed to be flat brass/gilt if this helmet is supposed to be a true Baden Pioneer Battalion 14 helmet, and not silver as it appears the chinscales on this helmet are. That will set you back probably $250 or maybe more to fix that.
A silver spike that isn't dented up with a matching base will cost between $150 to $200.
The set of gilt color officer stars will run $150 to $200.
The Baden kokarde with a small hole will cost maybe $125-$150.
A National Colors kokarde with the raised metal ring will run $80-$125.
And who knows if a person would ever be able to find a silver officer style back spine that is not damaged, that would fit the shape of this helmet body, to replace the one that is almost broken in half, from what we can see of the fine photos.
I'm NOT trying to kill a sale here for this nice new member, I'm just being realistic what it will take to get this helmet back into proper configuration.
Best Wishes,
Alan
