Rarest of All Pickelhaubes

I know we all have a Holy Grail helm that we have been searching for a while .

I have a few , but I feel if I can find them I will not be able to afford them.

There are so many " rare " pickelhaubes out there .

Is there one stand out that is rarest of the rare for you guys ?

Are they out there ?
 
Actually, for now I've stored my wants list away. They're getting too expensive for me to justify spending the money... however, I keep looking just in case. My Holy Grails are a nice M1842, line infantry and a Saxon Garde Reiter. I also still need to get a Hessen! Believe it or not! Other than that, I've done pretty well filling out my true wants. I'm also searching for that ever elusive Wurt. M15.

I had a rare style of one of these ( funeral EM without chinscales ) and had the hardest time selling it !!!!!!!!!!

I am thinking anything from Lippe .

Some what like hen's teeth ?

Under $50 ..... think you wil need a ful lifetime to be able to find your first one... and maybe wil be your last one.... becose you wil get a hart attaque just clarefying the price on it 😂😂

Only know one in a Dutch collection. The owner is a member here! ;-)

enjoy the luck -----but be prepared to pay more----when you find others ----- sometimes the bargain is just to have it -- then to look for others...

O K , so if we are to wish for the rarest of all ; let's dream big ! I would like an officers miter from the KAGGR# 1 / Fusilier Batl. Wish number 2 would be for an officers miter to the 1st Garde Regt. zu Fuss ( before the " new " silver front miter ) with the Semper Talis banner over the enamel Garde Star . This one I have only seen photos of officers and the Crown Prince as a young boy wearing this miter. I have not seen one in a museum , nor do I know of one in a private collection . I have a collector friend who about every helmet there is to have except this one . Does anyone know where one of these miters is ? Steve McFarland
