Fahnrich Question #2

Post by SkipperJohn » Mon Sep 25, 2017 1:06 pm

Would it be considered appropriate or legitimate for an artillery Fahnrich to wear a Schirmmutze with officer Kokarden and a black wool band? I know that regular officers in the artillery would have a black velvet band and that wool was used by Unteroffizier mit Portapee, but would a Fahnrich wear the same?
The Schirmmutze in question is Dunkelblau.

John,

yes. However, those Fähnrich who had passed the officers' examination could additionally wear an officers' pattern cap in undress and off-duty.

Bekleidungsordnung II. Teil 1903, § 140.

Glenn
