At least, we know it is going to a good home. All collectors know you gotta pounce when opportunity comes your way.

Anyone who wants another chance at this helmet, contact me as I will have an opportunity to slip it out of James' house with out him knowing in a couple of weeks.

It should not be a problem as long as James does not revisit this thread. :)

So do I :-k :-k The relation between JR92 and RJR92 is completely new to me ...The Ersatz-Bataillon of RJR92 was in Osnabrück during the war.
As the Busche is saying, no interferences with Braunschweig:

Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 92 (+MG.-Kp.)

Aufgestellt in Osnabrück (R.Stb., I., II.) und Lingen (III.)
Unterstellung: 19. Res.Div.
Kommandeur: Oberstleutnant Müller (I.R.Nr. 78)
87
I.: Major Kienitz (I.R.Nr. 78)
II.: Major Breithaupt (I.R.Nr. 77) gef.: 8.9.14
III.: Major d. Res. a. D. Graf Merveldt 45
Verluste: 115 Offz., 3164 Uffz. und Mannschaften.

I use to think that Reservisten from Braunschweig (JR92) were moved to the II/RJR73, II/RJR78, III/LJR74 and II/LJR78...(Larcade, page 73).
I also used to think that RJR unit stamps (as LJR stamps) always including a bataillon number in it (compare on Joe´s marking list)...But this is only basing on my very humble personal observations....
