Yes it has the correct single band ribbing to the cockades as well. Is it my eyes, or is the front visor trim and the brads attaching it silver? The brads on the spike base have a totally different patina to the spike itself. Andy

Well I`m expecting my first delivery of "metal rescue" tomorrow. The web site makes some fantastic claims for this stuff and seems to have the pictures to back it up. Apparently it removes rust from just about anything, without damaging paint, fabrics etc etc. Sounds to good to be true to me but...

Now I look at it, it looks more like the visor from a French Kepi. Especially with the cross hatch pattern. The rear visor just looks like one of those nasty Indian copies. It seems too light in colour and the black staining looks like dye overspill. Dont like this one at all!! Well worth 800...
