    Pickelhaube 1871

When I write something, Google translates it faster and the whole page and then I don't know if the answer is in Polish or English. I hope I have corrected what I wanted to write to you.

    Pickelhaube 1871

There is something on that screw, but it looks more like random dots of paint.

    Pickelhaube 1871

Lars, this could be a good lead, just looking for why someone would cover up certain information, someone who wanted to reveal. They did things like that during WWII.

Not Imperial, but one of the coolest helmets ever!

The old rule says that if a collector doesn't want to say how much he paid for a unique item, it means he got it for free from some poor grandmother. :D

    First helmet

I did the same at the beginning, I bought replacements, but Wojtek is right, it's a waste of time and money, because you will still strive for the beauty of the original parts. You can exchange the ones you don't get

    New purchase.

What do you think about it, I like the old grenadiers, they are unbeatable. https://www.weitze.net/militaria/22/Preussen_Pickelhaube_fuer_einen_Feldwebel_in_einem_Linien_Grenadier_Regiment__428722.html

    New purchase.

I also think it will be the manufacturer, although a red flag goes off in my mind: why only two producers, or does it have a different meaning?
  15. J

    New purchase.

Perhaps this is the older type Lars mentioned, one is dotted and the other is smooth

    New purchase.

Now I see that the red background is not an officer, so what will be the difference?
  17. J

    New purchase.

I started to look at the eagle and I see some differences that I have marked, a different manufacturer or an officer and regular variety?
  18. J

    New purchase.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the answer, I was just wondering about the regiment, the pickelhaube comes from Poland.

Regimental History Hussar Regiment Nr. 8

It's better, but I still have the image of the book before the repair in my mind. The cover of the book is well preserved, the problem is with the spine of the book which was damaged and I would like to see it from this perspective. You fixed that spine and that's not easy, congratulations.
