Nice piece, there is a fellow that brings one for the GWA in neuville, he makes his own very good looking rounds and uses .45 Cal blnks to launch them.

The Rifle units here did not get any different colour then the regular infantry unit, they did get the lovely rifle busby as apposed to the glen or pillbox. nice helmets. mark

there was a similar set of curass and helm in the 1930's film about the Dryefus affair. It was made in hollywood, but they had a sey forr dreyfus's son in the film prior to his arrest ,

I agree with gus. It is missing the trail that hooked onto the rear of the mount. I have seen a few up here made into monuments , the nicest kept one is Grand Bend Ontario.

I was just reading this post ,and hope it get's a visit again . The 117th Division at the first battle of loos was not made up the unit's listed . it was made up pf the 157th Infantry Regiment ,the 22nd Reserve infantry Regiment and the 11th Reserve Infantry Regiment ,all the units based from...

I would not do anything with it ,just leave it . Other's might have a better idea . Sorry wish i had better advice on this. My Gummi was in good shape so I lucked out ,I have a couple American SBR gas mask's and they are solid masses .I leave those ,one already started to fall apart . Mark

How crinkly ,or stiff? Alot of therories on this one . I used a leather /saddle soap on 1 of the mask's ,but it used ofr re-enactment and not a collector piece. but it cleaned it up and made it suple.
