SOS 2010

I'll be there, and I think my wife is coming with me this year. Stuart Bates might in to New York from Australia and we might drive to the show. Our second book is coming in time for the show, and driving is the easiest way.

And here is a question. Anyone know if I can hire models/actresses for the gun show? I'm launching my Web site that tracks media bias of firearms and I want to have some "booth babes" pass out t-shirts or something to promote it.

I will make the reservations at the German place so I will come back and ask you if you are attending they really need an exact count as that place is pretty crowded. I have had limited feedback on whether Thursday or Friday is best for the beer and pizza thing. Allen voted for Thursday which is cool with me I just remember a lot of guys being completely exhausted on Thursday. On the other hand It may just be a good way to relax. I will talk with James about ideas for that evening but it stands to be upstairs at the hotel in the party room -- we just need more chairs. If I remember correctly they are going to close the group rate at the hotel somewhere in the start of January. Not sure maybe somebody else can let us know.

As the show gets closer we can set up a cell phone exchange by PM. Janet just bought one of those newfangled techno-phones that she can even get e-mail on the fly.

Gus did you hear from John Kitts?

Anyone else coming please feel free to let us know it helps with the headcounts. Gus is having problems counting and I'm afraid that James may end up taking that gig as a booth bubba. :o :o :o

Another plug for this show -- if you want to get to know the people this is the place. My limited experience tells me that prices drop dramatically between friends. it does not help to be on the outside. D o not worry if you are new to collecting this group seriously does not care, it is the best way to get included. You will learn something I guarantee it not that that guarantee is worth anything.

Well I would love to go. But I will be playing in the snow for the next 7 months and can not take any vacation time. So I would like a lot of photos posted so us hard working people can at least see what we are missing..

Holey crap Russ, I suffer from extreme highdrophobia, I have plowed snow like that but when I run off the road, I only drop a few feet at the most.

I might have to start a pool on this one. My feeling is that it is more likely that Charlie Brown, Bart Simpson and Eric Cartman get a new outfit first!

Remy did not say it was going to be different, he said it was going to be new:)
 
Someone told me this morning that we have members who are shy and do not think they are "part of the group". That is really silly as we are pretty much normal people. One of the greatest compliments we have had is that new members or people who do not frequently matriculate with some of the heavy posters found themselves extremely welcome when they attended. You want/ need to have a home base. The tables of the Lebrass... brothers has served this purpose for years. There is always someone sitting there to guard the goods And you can put your coat down. You can also talk to James about selling something you have at his table. There are other tables also including George, Jerry, and Randy. Gus makes lunch on-demand as you swing past. Bring your wife. So come on down. There is no need to be shy. We are just all collectors.

Where else are you going to meet such beautiful women without the paparazzi hanging around?
