Can you help me identify this shako, nineteenth century.
It looks like British skako "Albert shako" but the cockade looks like a Prussian cockade.

Do you have any idea how much shako's there have been?
We had a contest here about very special spike helmets, take a look over there to see how many knew or how long it took before it could be identifyed...
I asked you on the french forum for more details about the inside and the back of the insigna, but got no answer so far .....???????????????????????????

My guess is that this piece is Austrian, the cockade may have been black and yellow once. Post 1815 and pre 1850.
