    Bavarian enlisted wartime Kokarden

Looking for two Bavarian cockades, which can be loose or in pairs with the Reichskokarde. My interest is in wartime (1914+) so something appropriate is sought, generally for a m.1915. I have some original German made Argentinian Pickelhaube cockades for trade, or would generally need some...

What is the Smallest Size Pickelhaube Known??

I have a Bavarian Krätzchen marked 53--but it almost fits my 56 bean as well as a repro I wear. I'd expect it to be more shrunk over the century if anything, but guess it could be sized wrong or stretched at some point.

    Oversized Bavarian cockade for Pickelhaube?

Recent find has me stumped. I'm better versed on the wartime examples, but always welcome any Bavarian items from the years up to and post-WWI. Any suggestions for an oversized Bavarian cockade in Neusilber? Shown alongside my only other example--Unteroffizier mit Portepee style in the normal...

    KBAG 1916 Feldmütze

I mean I would prefer to find Bavarian, as that is the focus of my collecting. But yes, this is a fine Krätzchen. I am pondering restoring the Reichskokarde, since I am well pleased the red wool remains on the cap, and feel it almost a shame to cover that. I have half a dozen originals fairly...

    KBAG 1916 Feldmütze

Just added this to my collection. I am seriously debating adding the Reichskokarde for a restoration since the original red lozenge remains while the cockade is lost. While I would prefer Bavarian, the KBAG marking makes up for that. This makes two--the other is maker marked with BAXVIII.

    M18 Stalhelm

I presume by now you have the BDIII info all sorted out in the past ten years but I will comment for anyone else reading old posts. Bekleidungsdepot III specific to the Bavarian III Armee Korps. I was searching old posts to see if any with varied Hersteller codes were posted. We tend to see...

    Four Pickelhaube

The Bavarian bears the distinct III Armee Korps "Bekleidungsdepot" style with an Hersteller code. I and II AK simply use a Bekleidungsamt without any Hersteller. Any traces of a unit stamp, perhaps? Often in the dome, not the skirt.

    Bambus m15 bavarian IR23

Fantastic helmet! 23.IR (Bavarians usually do the number first) was the last of the pre-war regiments, I believe, and with a Garnison at Landau.

    Identifying pesky "off colour" Kokarden?

Thanks John--had these been theatrical or modern I would consider repainting, but of course not considering what they are! I have some repros, but as you say, heavy and they just do not look right. Fritz.

    Identifying pesky "off colour" Kokarden?

Thank you. Seemed legit, but was looking for the answer in German colours, as well as following leads from other sellers. I guess the question now is if anyone happens to need them? I don't know how common or sought they are. I am hesitant to use them to repaint for a repro I wear at...

    Identifying pesky "off colour" Kokarden?

Hallo All, I have a heckuva time with certain cockades. Not everything matches the limited charts made 100+ years ago, and some modern interpretations may have colours off. What I am currently having issue with is this seemingly period light blue and white. The yellow-white colour is not...

Bavarian 10. Infanterie Regiment items sought

From photos to marked gear to caps and helmets. Even if you are not selling, would like to compare notes and see what sort of stuff is out there. Trying to paint a fuller picture of what the regiment used. Danke.

    Gas Warfare

Great references and talk. I was always curious about that "X" cage on the Gummi can. It's a shame a lot of the images in the thread have been deleted or had their paths changed on hosting sites. WOuld love to see the other offerings posted in this originally. I'll have to photo my one mask...

    M15 Bluse - Saxon 22nd Pioneer Battalion

Regardless of the history of this Bluse, it is a really nice example. I would attribute the feldgrau collar to Bavarian origins. Too bad so many Image Shack photos drop out after time--would love to see what those missing photos refer to.

    M15 BAVARIAN GREATCOAT, ADVICE PLEASE.

At this late time I am sure you must have an answer, but BD (as opposed to BA) is specific the the Bavarian III Armeekorps supply depot, or Bekleidungsdepot. I am very interested in seeing these BDIII stampings, and any regimental markings as well. BDIII has another quirk of a number in a box...
