    Talc on picklehaube?

It was discussed a few years ago… https://www.pickelhaubes.com/xf/threads/mint-unworn-pickelhauben-with-talcum-powder.13704/ Google-AI also gives tips to eliminate it (Term: Fatty spew (or spue)) … But I wouldn’t recommend this, as you could completely ruin the helmet very quickly.

    What do we have here?

The hair bush was also worn by the Landwehr. It’s written in the clothing regulations (for example, page 99 and further in the clothing regulations of 1895)

    Age of Kings

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to solve this problem. But it's great that you even try to find a solution. I purchased one helmet from AOG and the transaction went smoothly. The service was excellent throughout and I'd like to thank you for your efforts and for running such a great shop (y)...

    Handwriting inside Helmet

It’s „Mölln“ I think. It also makes sense, since "Mölln" was a village in the Duchy of Lauenburg.

    Handwriting inside Helmet

I can only read some text of the 2nd photo: Rönnpage Mölln i. Lbg. (I think it stands for „in Lauenburg“, which was Duchy of Lauenburg back then) There is a little more on the right-hand side in Kurrent (the old German script), but due to the light reflections, I can only decipher „De…“

    Why are these epaulets backwards?

I think it's due to the age and the photo quality. If you look closely, you can see the buttons faintly. But I think the lighting and focus weren't perfect at the time, which is why the details of the shoulder strap aren't clearly visible.

    M15 Spike Size

There were 2 posts about spikes I remember: 1. Brians „Officer Spike variations“. Unfortunately Brian’s photos aren’t online anymore. But I saved the photos (only Brian's) at the time, but unfortunately I uploaded many of my photos to Pinterest at some point to save storage space. However, this...

SOLD 88th (Nassau) Infantry Regiment Wappen

Unfortunately, I'm not sure. I don't like the fact that the letters aren’t completely visible, and I don't know if that might have been the case back then. The black paint also seems to have been applied sloppily. The soldering spots and the eagle itself look good, on the other hand. Sorry for...

    M1871 Prussian Picklehaube

It’s seems to be an untouched helmet M1871 for enlisted men. I like it very much. I think 800€ to 1100€ are realistic. Good luck:)

    Emperor Frederick III.

I doubt that this would have prevented the world wars, because in my opinion, World War I was largely brought about by France, not Germany. Germany might have had better relations with Great Britain, but Frederick III also wanted a strong and independent German Empire, not a submissive vassal...

Where can I get a pickelhaube for under 300 dollars?

But you have to know very well about ebay in order not to be disappointed. In my opinion, the prices for decent helmets have unfortunately risen and continue to rise. But maybe my claim has also increased. I think for a Pickelhaube for only 300€ you need a lot of luck. It’s not impossible...
