The flags of the Kaiser Garde Grenadier Regt. 1 / I Batl and IV Batl on parade

Steve,
Yes we did! The fake ring was stamped as HR 4, the real ring is stamped HR IV. The devil is in the details.
Dennis
Dennis
And we also know that the H R 4 standarte was brought out of Russia on the original
pole and with the original unit ring still on the pole .
The flag is now in the collection of a private collector and I have photos of it .
Steve

Great photos Steve, thank you very much for sharing.
I would like to show the photos of flags that I have the 1 Garde Grenadier Regiment

The 1 Battalion also had an Honorary Band with inscriptions in Russian granted by Tsar Nicholas II of Russia in 1897. (The photo of the band is taken from the internet)

Again excellent photos. All 4 of the flags of KAGGR#! were taken to Moscow
at the end of WWII .They were trooped in the Russian Victory Day Parade.
A few years ago the flag of the Fusilier Batl made it out of Russia.
The last that know about it is that is in the United States.
None of the parade banners came with the Fusilier Batl flag
As far as I know the other 3 flags are still in Russia .
In my collection I have the Sakular parade banners of the KAGGR# 1for the
Batl I and Batl II
The Sakular parade banner for the Fusilier Batl was at the Rastatt Museum
It has been moved to the DHM
Steve

Here are the photos of the KAGGR# 1 / Fusilier Batl flag that made it to the USA a few years ago.
The flag is on the original pole
The pole top is missing
No streamers came with the flag
What is odd is that the unit ring on the flag was incorrect
not reading KAGGR 1 / F B
it had on the pole the ring of K.F.G.G.R. / II.B.
A collector who helped the dealer spotted the incorrect ring
and was allowed to remove it since it was incorrect
and was able to buy it .
Later the collector traded the ring to me and it is still in my collection
You see the flag was "netted " years ago by the Germans
as it was trooped by the "new Army "

Good day!
Is it known total number of German empire’s regimental flags and standards, which were looted by the Soviet army in 1945?
What regiments did these flags belong to?

Regards, Alexander.

HR 4 and HR 6

I understand most of them returned to the West?

Regards, Alexander

Thanks!

I didn’t know the fate of DR 3 regimental standard.
It was not included in the Russian list of 1945. But the photographs confirm the fact of its capture by the Russians. Photos dated April 1945.
This standard is visible at the bottom of the photos. Also, there You can see two other cavalry standards. One M1860 and one swallowtail standard (red? or black? colour, with two? rings – HR 1?HR 3? )

Regards, Alexander

Yes, of course.
This is a list of flags that were selected for 1945 Victory parade. It was digitized a few years ago.
It's typewritten text on 4 pages (in Russian of course). Mostly this list included nazi flags M1935. Old flags are listed mainly at the top of the first page.
This list doesn't include DR 3, HR 1 and HR 2 - exactly.

Regards, Alexander

Steve,

JzP flag owned by Wolfe that went to Burmeister was the 11th. Also, the 9th is currently in a private collection in Germany.
