Helmet for a Wurtt. Officer of Feld Art. Reg.13
Hi All,
A fairly recent acquisition which came as a complete set directly from Stuttgart.
The body is made of vulkanfiber, hence the very well-preserved condition of the helmet. No sign of tweaking, modification or anything so I can confidently say that it is coming to me pretty much in the state it was left when last used.
Interior typical of that type of manufacturing: ersatz liner band and greenish silk. The screws have been left untouched for a very long time...
The paradebusch is made of white yak hair (as it should be) and has kept its bright colour which is pleasing to see.
The Uber is part of the helmet too. It has adopted the shape of the helmet as can be witnessed by the chinscale, rear spin and wappen shadows (probably hard to see on the pictures.... sorry). A shame that a little animal decided to reshape the “3” !
As usual, feel free to comment.
Happy VE-Day to you all,
Best
Alex

This time, with the paradebush.... Not the best look (IMO) but still an impressive set !

That is an exceptional group, amazing condition after all these years. I don’t think I have ever seen a kugel that tall before or cardboard backed Regimental numbers! Congratulations.

Absolutely stunning acquisition.
Terrific helmet with the trtchter, the wartime Unberzug, the carrying case and the yak hair bush.
You're right to be pleased with it!
