These are not a true exact pair, but they came together and are both marked to the 120th Infantry Regiment, (2nd Württemberg) "Emperor William, King of Prussia". The first example is impressed on the back "120.R.1875 F.B." and ink stamped in the lid "120.R.1888 F.B." The belt straps have been re-sewn (period), and one retaining loop is missing, but all straps are intact and serviceable. The second pouch is impressed "120R.1880" on the reverse, and ink stamped "120R.1888 II.B." in the lid. Again, the belt straps have been period re-sewn, and all straps and loops are intact and serviceable.

There appears to have been a group of these boxes imported to the US at some point. I have a couple sets also marked to IR 120 along with a few other items from this regiment (which one of my wife's Uncles severed in during the War).
