Model 1915 , IR 92, NCO helmet with matt frosted skull .

The spike also detaches from the neck with a center screw to be able to use the buffalo plume.

Beautiful and scarce trio! :o

Your newcomer seems to have been worn by an Unteroffizier mit Portepee (Vizefeldwebel or Feldwebel) or maybe Fähnrich. Are the cockades "clipped" between side posts and shell? Interesting to see this screwable pattern of spike on a M15 Eigentum helmet. More common is the "turn and push out" system like on the M15 EM helmets.

By the way, does your M15 JR92 show some regimental markings?

What matters of course is the Wappen, and that is an extremely rare textbook original Braunschweig officer's Wappen.
Kaiser: 09 July 1997 - 12 October 2010.
Nina: 23 April 2002 - 31 July 2015.
I miss my little Noodles.

For prussian units, not a lot possibilities, only if the guy has been wounded, KIA, captured or missed.

For Baden, Württemberg and bavarian units, there are better possibilities...

Thanks Amy and thanks Philippe , interesting site.

Close-ups of the other two skulls.

The letters on the bandeaus are crisp and the background is filed with pebbles, but not so much on the M15.
