Got this beauty saturday, My first Hessian!! Ersatz Hessian, unfortunately no markings, but clean and complete.

If only I could find some more Pickelhaubes from Hesse .....the search continues!!!

this is a beauty
just my observation the chinstrap is not the brass one
as it should be or it is just very durty cant make that out
these ersatz helmets in feutre are not all marked
i have 3 in my own collection and not one is regimentally marked
i would not worry i like it anyway

James, here is picture of the liner, it is very thin and fragile, almost papery thin.

Yes, excellent haube, I would love to have that piece in my collection. The liner is typical filz especially with the black cord through the liner tongues, very nice to have that still present. Congratulations. :thumb up:
