A Frosty Ulanen Ersatz Tschapka

Post by Tony without Kaiser » Fri Dec 01, 2017 3:14 pm

Here is a superb Model 1914 Preußen Ersatz Tschapka in absolutely exceptional condition. I don't think it would be possible to find a better example.

The photos and standard write-up are HERE.

Would you mind to show us the side view of the right side: Reichskokarde and the way how the tin top is attached to the Tschapka shell??? (Inside an outside).
Sorry for this Tony!!!
Thank you!

I will for you Francis. Give me a week or three. All of your photo requests are really interesting on this Tschapka.

As requested. Exterior has rivets to hold on the tin top, and ventilation holes like existing Tschapka. Inside is fascinating; interior skull leather goes down into the neck.

Extremely well made, and essentially near-mint. Much fun to examine. :read2:

Excellent pics T and again, the condition is just amazing, probably never issued!! The construction of these pieces continues to illustrate the phenomenal craftsmanship of leather workers/manufacturers of this era.

I never knew the leather continued into the neck, Tony. Remarkable!
