Imperial Shoulder Straps

Post by b.loree » Tue Dec 29, 2015 1:31 pm

Many of us collect these pieces and I know that certain members out there have significant collections. So, it makes sense for us to provide an area for discussion here. I myself, have concentrated on the Dunkelblau pre 1910 straps because I enjoy the colours and intricate cyphers. For the most part, I have tried to collect OR's examples to match the regimentally marked helmets in my collection. I will post some pics shortly.......game on gentlemen!

Very cool Gus. I have only seen that stenciled/painted style on one of Tony's straps. I forget the Regt but it was cyphered.

And by-the-way, I have a single example of this same Russian strap. The whole unit must have surrendered.

I think they were never issued, one of my straps has a flaw in the sewing of the button hole on the attachment strap.
